The Bien Public regional newspaper for November 8, 1954 reported a "flying saucer or meteor" case in Trouhans in the evening of November 4, 1954.

It's no longer very clear. With common sense prevailing, people tend to lean toward a meteorite. Thus, on Thursday evening, in Trouhans, and the following morning, in Nuits-Saint-Georges, several trustworthy witnesses observed a strange ball of blinding light with a greenish trail, all of which dissolved into a sudden violet flash...

WHY 1954?
The French flap of 1954 is today more than controversial.
Thus, A.D.R.U.P. wanted to make a compilation of all the documents published in a Burgundy daily newspaper:
"Le Bien Public".

We do not know very well anymore. Common sense prevailing, we tend rather for the aerolithe. Thus, on the evening of Thursday, at Trouhans, and the next morning, at Nuits, several reliable witnesses observed a curious ball with blinding light, with a greenish trail, all dissolving in a blazing violet glow...
