The ufology magazine Lumières Dans La Nuit #125 of May 1973 indicated that according to the regional newspaper La Montagne for October 5, 1954, the same day in Mezel, a city councilor "sees an unusual craft." But a Mrs. Morandière, from an unspecified place, said that they were children's balloons.
