1947, Newton-Le-Willow, Lancashire, U-K., Mrs. E. Waywell and Mrs. P. Hardman:
Brief summary of the event and follow-up:
British "ghost stories books" author Harry Ludlam wrote in 1996 that in 1947, a "White Lady" was seen as a white shape by Mrs. E, Waywell, wife of a Newton-le-Willow butcher, and Mrs. P. Hardman, wife of the Newton-le-Willow librarian, while they were out walking in the woods.
He added that according to the local popular belief, this "phantom" of the open road made a number of recent appearances as "the ghost of Castle Hill", on the boundaries of Golborn and Newton-le-Willow, and it was reported in the area for centuries.
This later entered in an event more succinct manner in a "skeptical" ufology catalogue.
This author said that in 1947, a "White Lady" was seen as a white shape in the woods by Mrs. E, Waywell, wife of a Newton butcher, and Mrs. P. Hardman, wife of the Newton librarian, while they were out walking.

Mrs E Waywell and Mrs P Hardman were walking in the woods near Castle Hill when they encountered a white humanoid shape.

Points to consider:
Harry Ludlam wrote novels: "The Coming of Jonathan Smith" (1964), "Witch's Curse" (1969), nonfiction book: "A Biography of Dracula: The Life Story of Bram Stoker" (1962), "The Mummy of Birchen Bower and other True Ghosts" (1966).
This case is just a story of two ladies in the forest seeing "a white shape". It could have been just about anything, from some misinterpreted person in white to a purely invented "ghost story" for entertainment purpose. The poverty of the report, the lack of context information, make it so anecdotal and impossible to evaluate that I wonder was this is supposed to prove.
Of course there is no UFO involved and no reason to believe this has anything to do with "UFO occupants."
